Vores formål er at støtte fattige mennesker, særligt kasteløse i Nepal i at skabe sig et bedre liv. Primært gennem aktiviteter indenfor sundhed, uddannelse og organisering. Eksempler på aktiviteter i Nepal: Organisering af piger og kvinder: Vi arbejder med sundhed, mikro-entreprenørskab og medborgerskab. Blandt andet gennem køkkenhaver, praktisk sundhedsinformation og selvhjælpsgrupper. For piger og unge arbejder vi desuden med medborgerskab gennem gruppedannelse og kulturudveksling. Støtte til bedre uddannelse for fattige skolebørn: Vi støtter forbedret undervisning gennem mobilisering af lokalsamfundet, støtte til skolernes kapacitet, IT og danske praktikanter. Sundhed og økologi: Vi arbejder med skolehaver, økologisk dyrkning og sundhedsoplysning til både børn og voksne. Skolemad: Skoleliv i Nepal sørger hver dag for sund og varieret skolemad til omkring 400 børn fra 0. – 6. klassetrin på to små fattige skoler i det sydvestlige Nepal. Vi tilstræber i høj grad engagement frem for passiv formidling.
