About Make Meaning Podcast

The Make Meaning podcast features incredible people and their efforts to make a difference, inspire others, and live life with purpose. We work hard every day behind the scenes to bring these stories to life – through communications channels, through marketing and public relations strategies and activities, and here, on the podcast, the real people doing the work share the why, and the delight, of their own journeys. The podcast grew out of the life work of podcast host, author, and entrepreneur, Lynne Golodner, Chief Creative Officer of Your People LLC. Your People is a firm focused on messaging, media and marketing, helping companies, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits identify and articulate their purpose through strategic foundational messaging. We put words together to inspire people to think about their unique purpose, and the ways they make meaning through their work and have a positive impact on the world. As a journalist, Lynne Golodner wrote for magazines and newspapers about how people find meaning in the mundane. Her eight books - most recently, The Flavors of Faith: Holy Breads - tell the same kind of stories. In 2018, Lynne launched the Make Meaning podcast, shining the spotlight on meaningful people doing inspiring things and living lives filled with purpose. Guests have included ... Lynne's dad, Norman Cohn; Paul Saginaw, Zingerman's co-founder and Chief Spiritual Officer; Barbara Jones, Henry Holt Executive Editor; Michael Forsyth, owner of Detroit City Distillery; April Jones Boyle of the Build Institute; Kelli Dobner of Samaritas; Noreen Ehrlich, of Defy and Hustle; Rev. Faith Fowler of Cass Community Social Services; the God Squad rabbis; Natasha Guynes of HER Resiliency Center; Amy Haimerl, of Shady Ladies Literary Society; David Dwaihy of Detroit City Football Club; Rachel Lutz, of the Peacock Room; Alex Kimbrough from FOX 2 Detroit; Anni Keane-Riley, of Nobody Ages Out Youth Movement; and so many more inspiring guests.
