Editorial Policy — How We Create and Vet Content

By | Published

Online PR (operated by Quick LLC) publishes several kinds of content: agency profiles, publication directories, newswire directories, blog posts, guides, and newsroom articles. This Editorial Policy explains how each is created, reviewed, and updated — so our readers, the agencies we list, and the search engines that crawl our pages can all understand our standards.

Our Core Editorial Principles

  1. Accuracy over speed. If we don't have a fact confirmed from multiple sources, we don't publish it as fact.
  2. Transparency about sources. When information comes from a third party (public records, an agency's own website, a submitted press release), we say so.
  3. Correction over defensiveness. If we get it wrong, we fix it, publicly. See our Content Removal Policy.
  4. No pay-for-play editorial coverage. Paid placements (guest posts, sponsored press releases, PR package purchases) are always labeled and separated from editorial content.
  5. Independence. Our editorial team operates independently of Online PR's commercial team. Rankings and mentions in our articles are not influenced by whether an agency is a paying customer.

How Content Types Are Created

Agency Directory Profiles

Our directory includes agencies from publicly available sources including company websites, LinkedIn, business registries, and industry databases. Every agency profile:

  • Starts with structured, publicly available metadata (name, address, industries, keywords)
  • Includes a long-form profile summary generated with AI assistance from that structured data
  • Is available to be claimed and edited for free by the agency's authorized representative
  • May be removed on request via our Content Removal Policy

We do not claim editorial expertise on individual agencies until they are claimed and verified. Long-form summaries are clearly labeled as AI-assisted profiles until an authorized representative claims and edits them.

Blog Posts and Guides

Blog posts and guides on public relations topics (strategy, tactics, comparisons, how-tos) are researched and written by the Online PR Editorial Team. Writers cite sources, disclose commercial relationships, and update posts when the underlying facts change. The published/updated dates on each article reflect real editorial changes.

Newsroom Articles

Our newsroom accepts press releases and announcements from brands, agencies, and organizations. Submissions are moderated per our Newsroom Content Policy — we reject spam, misleading claims, and content that violates trademark or copyright.

Rankings

Our PR agency rankings are ordered algorithmically by real-time ratings, review count, and claimed status — not by paid placement. Agencies cannot pay to move up in a ranking.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

Online PR uses AI to assist with:

  • Long-form agency profile summaries (generated from structured public data)
  • Initial drafts of comparison content (edited by humans before publication)
  • Sentiment analysis of brand mentions
  • Automated translation of certain content

AI is not used to:

  • Fabricate reviews, testimonials, or ratings
  • Generate factual claims that aren't grounded in real, cited sources
  • Impersonate journalists, agencies, or individuals

Where AI has substantially generated content, we disclose it and provide a way for the subject to review, correct, or remove the content.

Corrections & Updates

If you spot an inaccuracy, please email [email protected] with the URL and the specific issue. We aim to review and respond within 5 business days. Substantive corrections update the article's dateModified and are noted at the bottom of the affected page.
