StoryTK is a design and communications studio located in the San Francisco bay area. Founded in 2013 by Carl De Torres (formerly of WIRED) and Jeffery O'Brien (formerly of FORTUNE), StoryTK was created to bring the best practices of editorial journalism to innovative companies. For over 10 years StoryTK partnered has partnered with clients such as Apple, IBM, Visa, Rolls-Royce, and LucasFilm to name a few. Editorial clients include The New York Times, Wired, Fortune, The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal, Nature, and IEEE Spectrum. In 2024 StoryTK launched a new venture called Optics Lab. Optics Lab is a hybrid design, communications and visualization studio built to help innovative companies explain and visualize their more important work.
