About Viestinnän opiskelijoiden yhdistys Media ry

Media ry is a student association of over 800 members for all the people studying media & communications at University of Helsinki. With an annual intake of only 25 new students out of 700-800 applicants, Media's members are widely known as the future top professionals of comms, journalism and marketing in the country. To this 50-year-old organisation's responsibilities, among other things, belong overseeing that the students' interests are taken into account in the faculty decision-making to make sure the young voice is heard. Another important task is being committed to ensuring that students enjoy the student life to the fullest by organizing diverse activities, like student parties and get-togethers, and visits to cultural events. Our organization also collaborates with companies and business sector.
